gigabyte056 Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 With all the hate this brand is getting, what are the sales stats? Habanos is dumping damn good vitolas left and right due to lower sales, maybe we should trade Cuaba for some of our lost friends?
mazolaman Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 The overall construction of these cigars is improving, along with the standard of all Cubans lately. Recently,I've had some excellent divinos, and very good distinguidos and exclusivos. Partagas do two versions of the figurado shape, that I know of,neither of which I've tried. I think the Cuaba range is party to a little bashing by the Cohiba and Monte smokers.Though some criticism is well deserved. The whole R and J range has been poor recently, but we don't hear that so much. Agree with reducing the range though, for me remove the traditionales and generosos.
duwan Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 I think the divinios are alright for a short smoke. The flavors are ok but nothing extrordinary. The problem I have with them is draw issues. I would say as many of 25% of those I have smoked has a tight draw or no draw at all.
tucomapache Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Just had a few in the past.. Not memorable at all...
habanos1972 Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 My first Cuban was a Divino. I liked it, was a nice little smoke.I didn't have to block out an afternoon to enjoy it, and for those of us in a snow belt it's small size comes in handy when banished to the garage.
El Presidente Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 The whole R and J range has been poor recently, but we don't hear that so much. I have bagged R&J mercilessly since 2005 There are some exceptions in the Cazadores/Duke. The Short and Wide Churchill showed promise but consistency has been a killer for them.
