Hi fellas.

I've been having a problem that I can't understand flavor in winter season for a few years.. I tried Histamine blocker and steroid spray combination but failed... any other treatment?

Thanks

Are you smoking outside or inside? I usually smoke outside, and if the temperature is less than 50F or 10C or so, I feel like I can't taste much of anything in smoke. A cup of hot coffee can help, but I end up smoking a lot less in the winter because I feel like it's a waste to smoke cigars I can't fully taste.

The only thing I can think of is when it's cold most peoples noses produce mucas. I'm not sure but this may be some kind of protective feature of the olefactory system. The mucas coates the olefactory nerves and weakens your ability to smell. Remember we taste and smell mostly with our noses and to a lesser extent our taste buds.

It sounds like you'd rather not smoke in your home but do you have a garage? maybe try that. There are patio heaters available and some are relatively inexpensive, maybe try that. How about a local cigar bar? hope this helped.

I use steam inhalation and the nasal spray with grapeseed extract ( from local healthfood store)

First the steam inhalations, followed by nasal spray treatment. Has to be done daily. Light one up after couple hours.

I've been using a nasal/sinus rinse lately. Very mild solution of salt and sodium bicarbonate.

Washes out debris and irritants. Keeps nasal passages cleaner but I don't know if it would help restore a lost or confused sense of taste.

Thanks everybody. I tried some of your recommendations but failed so far, but will do all of these. after that, I will decide not to smoke cigar until spring or not.
