bigfunkyg Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Just finished watching the review of the the Bolivar Petit Belicoso and thought to myself, Hmmmm I might be intested in picking up a 10 box of that and then..... Nope, sorry thanks for playing. Is their any reasoning behind how the LE's get packaged, or is there a magic dice in the HSA Marketing Department that makes these decisions? Just to review: 2008 Cuaba Piramides - 10 Box Montecristo Sublimes - 10 Box Partagas Serie D No. 5 - 25 Box 2009 Bolivar Petit Belicoso - 25 Box H. Upmann Magnum 48 - 25 Box Romeo y Julietta Duke - 10 Box 2010 Montecristo Grand Edmundo - 25 Box Partagas Serie D Especial - 10 Box Trinidad Short Robusto T - 12 Box Is it that difficult (or expensive) to produce two different package sizes of the LE's? How is it determined what gets put in a 10 box and 25 box? Garrett
mm12 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 This years Monecristo is a 10 box not 25. The thought process is they think 10 (or 12 in the case of Trinidad) boxes will sell better so they want to do away with the 25 boxes for everything except the smallest of cigars. They started in 05 with the Monte D, continued in 06 and 07 with the Cohiba Piramides and the Trinidad Ingenios. Now the 25 box is getting to be the exception rather than the rule for ELs.
sblevit Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 ^ That's correct. If you go back to 2004 and beyond, the ELs were mostly in boxes of 25.
