oakley Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 In less than one week from payment the Czar shipped to my door my first order and I am very happy. Only 15 pieces just to see how things went, and everything went fine of course. Some photos below. The only small complaint is that the capa of two Cuabas present two fissured leaves, otherwise all the cigars are wonderful. Lisa offered the best assistance regarding this small issue, but I actually later discovered that it was not a problem while smoking. I smoked one of the Salomones and, wow, they are awesome, particularly the last third is nirvana!! I was flying very high by then!! Can't wait to taste the Punch now. See you
bob25 Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Salomones are a beast of a cigar, never had one, the size is too much for me. Congrats on your first purchase. Enjoy them as I sure you will.
CUBANO Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Cuaba Salomones are one of my favorite cigars, but they sure take a long time smoke.
CanuckSARTech Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Andrew, nice cigars (and I like your table, too!). Sorry to hear you had the issue with the wrapper on the heads of two sticks. That's never fun. But, if I can recommend something for any future issues like this? I highly recommend picking up one of those small bottles of vegetable glue (cigar saver?, or something like that?). It's a little nail-polish sized bottle of the same type of vegetable glue that the rollers actually use to create the cigars. I used to have a bottle of this years ago, and was just recently looking to get more as I can't find it anymore at home. I've used the stuff to fix a number of these small issues - tears, loose wrappers, lifting cappas, etc. Don't know if others have had use of this stuff or not, but I had good results in my attempts - saved some otherwise ruined cigars.

Actually I thought that could have been a solution, but I could not really imagine where I could get a bottle of 100% vegetal glue. Would you suggest one name so that I can search it online? That would be a good idea to solve these small issues. Thanks p.s. I liked the Salomones a lot, but the Double coronas are even better because the bitterness is almost nonexistent and they are full of flavor. I enjoyed all the puffs, but it was a strong cigar for me and after having finished it I had to go to bed and slept for 3 hours to recover!
micha Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Very nice, just had my first Punch DC last night and it was such a fine cigar. Enjoy them...

You can just google "cigar glue" and there's a few different various types that pop up in the first 10 choices or so. They're all the same pretty much, I think. Only about $5 or so for a little bottle of it, plus shipping.
