godfathermint Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 So before I start this review, I'd like to just point out that I'm a total newbie so this review might totally suck ...but I'm going to try anyway! ^^ So I bought a box of 10 of these, beautifully decorated black box, gold coloured hinge and the 'lock' to close the box has the Cohiba lady logo. The cigars were a beautiful dark colour and literally smelled of dark chocolate, it's a 40 ring gauge cigar and about 11cm long. The predominant taste of the cigar is dark chocolate. It's like eating 'Lindt Noir 86%' it has the same beautiful dark chocolate taste throughout with hints of coffee halfway through. It lasted me about an hour and it was so good that I smoked it till my fingers almost burnt. Overall a great great cigar! =D
Jaksen Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 These small devils are extremely delicious! But the Magicos is the true winner in that series!
thechenman Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 For me the Secretos are the only winners in the Maduro 5 line up. The Genios are meh...and I just couldn't get into the Magicos at all. Still I think they are all a bit overpriced...then again...what Cohiba isn't?

godfathermint Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 Thanks guys! I haven't tried the Genios or Magicos, but I definitely agree with Bster here, the Secretos definitely is a dessert smoke. Coupling it with some pure dark chocolate and rich coffee is "cigargasm" (they should put this word in the dictionary haha!)
MIKA27 Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Well you did an amazing job to describe the Secretos. I love these little buggers when time does not permit the larger. When I do have time, I really love the Genios in the Maduro series, very similar only more of it. But the Secretos are a staple in my humidor at home and I generally enjoy it with a nice coffee such as a latte or a long black.
micha Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Perfect description. I really like those Secretos when they manage to hit the spot, but have to say that I had some pretty bland ones too. Recently I discovered the Siglo Is which I favour in comparison (reviewed them in this section). They are slightly smaller (that I don't like), you also have those creamy, chocolaty + coffee notes, but heaps of more and an overall much more complex cigar imho. If you like the Secretos try them out, would be interesting to hear how they compare for you.
