Leopolis Semper Fidelis Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I wonder how many Friends of Habanos are fortunate to have tasted these beauties? Alas, they were discontinued in 1991. My top three choices are: Havana Club, Cabinetta and Estupendos.
bassman Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I've only smoked two kings of Dunhills- including one not on your list. Several Cabinettas & a Dunhill Montecristo #2. All were outstanding & showed no dign of fading.
jayro75 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I've smoked a couple of different sized Don Candidos, a Mojito, and a Dunhill Monte #1 all of which were fantastic.
thechenman Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I was not fortunate enough to sample any of these cigars. Actually I didn't smoke my first cigar until I was in college. I think it was 1993. Back then I didn't know any better and usually smoked Macanudos during Poker Nights at the frat house.

Only smoked non tobacco products back then.

compitaveggie Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I think Dunhill has the best names for their cigars, Mojito, Malecon, Havana Club, Varadero, all cool names that remind you of Cuba. Cant think of any cooler names for cigars than those Jose
MontrealRon Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Ya think that's bad? I was IN Cuba in 1981 and didn't smoke a single cigar. Only smoked non tobacco products back then. Much the same with me. Spent a week in Havana with the ex in 1975. Those were the days of real Communism. An interesting experience, though not entirely pleasant. Smoked cigarettes back then, though I do remember smoking a cigar while walking along the Malecon. No idea what it was, probably something cheap. Was also into the non-tobacco, but not when traveling.
El Presidente Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I always look forward to smoking aged Dunhills . Cabinetta is the one I have smoked most often and it always brings a smile to my face.
