Habanos2000 Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Had a half way decent afternoon today to enjoy a Punch Petit Punch for a review. ABR 08 production PSP quality 80 degrees F I came across this vitola after reading some positive reviews on the board. I've been mostly a robusto smoker the last several years and never really thought twice about small cigars. This cigar has converted me. At cold, nice colorado wrapper, relatively small veins and nice firm feel overall. Nicely bunched. Clipped a small opening in the cap and the initial flavors of spicy tobacco and pepper immediately greeted me. First third: Solid medium to med full right off the bat. Full bodied exhibiting great flavors of wet cedar, black pepper and dirty tobacco. Second third: still bouncing right between medium and full body. I'm enjoying long slow drags on this baby. Thoroughly entertaining. Am I picking up some marshmallow? Hell no, solid spice, wood and leather! Final third: Plumes of thick rich smoke accompany every drag. For such a small cigar it's behaving like a powerhouse. These aspects are what I LOVE about this cigar. Smooth all the way through, never too hot, and evolving while staying full bodied. To toast Spain's victory today, a nice inexpensive Borsao to go along. Laid to rest after 1 hour 31 minutes. Who would have thought a PC could last this long? End score, a solid 91. Pick some up, you won't be disappointed!
