daboose Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 While I ready another cooler (~6days), should I keep the boxes in the frig (45F) or room temperature (75F)? They’ll be in zip locks with beads or Boveda’s 65%. Thanks!

MontrealRon Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Personally, I would go with room temperature. After all, cigars survive the Cuban climate for a lot longer than a few days. 45 degrees in a fridge might mess with the internal/external humidity balance in the cigars, which risks cracking wrappers or worse when lit. Besides, the less drastic the variations, the better.
El Presidente Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Fridges really should be avoided at all costs excluding a brief period of "thawing out" for those who freeze their cigars as protection against beetles.
thechenman Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Totally agree with the Pez on this. Avoid fridges whenever possible.
