Hello. This is my first post here on this friendly forum, and I thought that I would just jump right into a review. I smoke mostly smaller cigars at the moment because of the weather here (-4 celcius).

And please excuse any typos...

San Cristobal de la Habana - El Principe

Box code: KMM DIC 03

Lenght: 110mm

Ring: 43

Box-pressed

This one started up with a nice sweet tobacco & cocoa flavour, it also has some peppery undertones.

The first third ends with a little bit of grass and earth. The 1/3 was very good.

The 2/3 starts up grassy, and it sticks to a earthy flavour profile. Not as good as the 1/3.

The 3/3 picks up some strenght, the flavour has a prominent leather flavour that stays there until it`s nubbed (a little bit bitter towards the end).

- It`s a complex cigar, that starts up really good. And for the price, it has a good value as a morning cigar.

- Good enough construction, but the draw was a little bit on the tight side.

- Good burn

- Medium strenght

I'll use this corner of the forum as my jumping into the FOH pool point. I smoked one of these for the first time this evening. I had picked up a few at City Cigar in Vancouver a couple weeks back while I was there on business. I have read many good things about this cigar, so I was eager to try one when the weather cooperated enough to be enjoyable. The first third of this smoke was somewhat bland to my taste. Not that this was in any way bad or disappointing, but I think my expectations were for a more flavorful start. By the time I had reached the beginning of the middle I began to pick up on more and more flavor. Please forgive my untrained palate in being able to distinguish the different flavor hints at this point. It was becoming more and more flavorful as I burned down to the last third. The draw and burn were wonderful and by the time I was finished I was disappointed that it had come to its end. This was a great smoke all around and I would recommend it to anyone.
