MontrealRon Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Last night's smoke was a R&J Mille Fleur from '04. The vitola is a Petit Corona, the same dimensions as a Mareva, though theoretically it weighs slightly less. This cigar was formerly machine-made, but has been hand-made, with long filler, since 2002. One ot the last of my first of two boxes, bought fresh. These cigars have been pleasant from day one, though rather generic and simple. This one showed a true R&J profile. Medium in strength and body, with a typical nutty and woody character. Rather reminicent of the Churchill, though neither as rich, nor as complex. Younger examples were somewhat bitter in the final third, but there was no bitter aspect to this one. I guess these are entering their maturity. Draw and burn were excellent. Very enjoyable, and a good value.
thechenman Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Thanks for the review. I actually have a box of these I got in Whistler during a ski trip. They are from DIC 07. Great little smokes. I smoke them when I am doing some work in the yard.
