I was told that wooden humidors are expensive and hard to maintain so I opted for glass jar tuppedors. I have recently gotten and calibrated an Oasis CALIBER V Hygrometer. I have also recently started the TRANSITION of my cigars from 69% RH to 62 %RH. For the last week my Hygrometer has maintained the reading inside at 66%RH without jumping the needle. As a sanity check I moved all my cigars to one jar, and placed a 62RH BOVEDA packet in [a different] jar alone with my hygrometer.
After 8 hours the reading on my hygrometer was still 66RH. (I have tested the calibration and it still goes to 75RH when in the calibration bag, same room same temperature.) I reached out to BOVEDA just to ask them what could be going on, and without responding they simply mailed me an additional 4pack of 62RH packets.
I appreciate the free packets!! But why didn't they get back to me with an answer? Does anyone know what might be going on? Are the Boveda packs themselves not very precise or do hygrometers deviate when they are too far from the calibration level?
Thank you!

EDIT: Just to clarify. To test my setup I placed a 62 Boveda in my jar ALONE with my hygrometer for 8 hours and the reading stayed at 66RH. I showed the picture to Boveda with my question and they didn't respond but shipped me additional Bovedas.
