Partagas Piramides Edition Limitada OSU DIC 00 (BGRW)
This is one of the four cigars in the first release of the edition limitada program. There is no year on the second band.
Paired with cuban Serrano coffee brewed in the Baletti Moka cuban style.
Paul Butterfield Blues Band Lost Electra Sessions playing in the background.
Cold draw most vegetable, musty, earth. Not much fragrance coming from the cigar. After close to 20 years oils are still visible in the wrapper.
1st third
Starts of with blast of cinnamon then pepper. Mouth watering chocolate, sweet oak. More pepper and cocoa. Although a wonky burn and flaky ash it is amazingly complex.
2nd third
Starts off more of the same going back and forth with sweet oak leading to sweet spice and hints of cocoa. After the first ash fell flavors stayed the same throughout this third all taking their own time to shine.
3rd third
Strength ramps up to med-full after being medium up to this point. Spice has dissipated and eucalyptus briefly emerges from quality toasted tobacco. Caramel comes into the picture. Spice is back with a vengeance sharing the spotlight back and forth with caramel.
Conclusion
One amazing smoke that still has legs for years to come. No two draws in succession were the same making for one complex ride. This was a single leaving me wishing I had another however its better to love and lost than to never have loved at all.
