RyJ Petite Royales, 2021 Having been out of the game for quite a while these little beasts had completely passed me by. Young, a bit fuller than expected for a RyJ, but some nice creamy sweetness early on gives me hope that they will age gracefully. I've been searching for a"go-to" 30 minute smoke suitable for the long UK winters, and having been disappointed by both HUHCs and Monte MCs in the past, I'm hoping I've found my solution. Any other suggestions, please DM me!

Monte 2 EAG 2015

Dipping my toes back in to the wonderful world of cigars after a long absence.. and where better to start than the good ol’ monte 4? Warm school night, so expertly paired with a bottle of Fanta and a small tub of Smarties. A short review, as to be honest it was rather linear. Nothing really progressed bar the strength. Cedar, black pepper and earthy notes were all i could really pick out. Perhaps my palate has dulled over the years.. perhaps it never existed to begin with. Burn/construction excellent. Single punch, no touch up required, even on a breezy evening. An hour or so of gentle sipping before i became a tad woozy, and it certainly was on the fuller side of medium for me at this point. Unsure of box code, but was purchased in approximately 2016. Spectacular? No. but damn it’s good to be back. oh and the hedge? yes i know.

Haha. Braver folk than I, wind tends to be the killer... but currently enjoying a RA Superiores in the garden.. Gotta make the most of it I guess! Thanks for the welcomes.

Evening, finally joined up. Used to lurk the site back in the day when it had a name that was slightly more NSFW... (!) Had pretty much given up on cigars, but having seen the glorious looking sticks on the 24:24 thread, my interest was peaked anew! Alas, I'm pretty limited on vitola given the weather conditions here on the east coast of Scotland rarely allow for anything beyond a cigarillo.. Anyway, nice to meet you all!
