  1. I’ve had multiple boxes with age of these with lackluster results each time. They had beautiful wrappers. Major lack of anything interesting for me. I was one of the 2 psychopaths who said it was light — because the ones I’ve had were definitely light in flavor in the realm of cigars writ large, albeit, not strictly of Cuban origin. D4, Shorts, Lusi, hell even a Mille Fleurs or PCE. when 'on,' are better than this for me. Love the vitola, but would pay rather have a Monte 2 in this size. I have had the odd STELLAR one, I will say.
  2. Music to my ears! Again — these cigars do not, I repeat not, smell bad by any means. Just like the earth, like soil. Which makes sense. I have noticed it across CoRo, BRC, Perlas, Choix so I figured I’d ask. I just wanted someone’s take on this.
  3. @Enduin I appreciate the response here. I’m up to speed on the MF and grey market situation. The cigars I’m referring to are exclusively from the sources you just mentioned. I will reiterate — this is not a question of authenticity but rather a question to see if anyone else has noticed a change in the smell/terroir for the year of ‘22. Since it’s an organic product it can vary by the year. Not a knock on Habanos or even the cigars in question but asking if anyone notices a difference in smell like I do.
  4. @Chibearsv I don’t mean this in a bad way, because it’s not a bad smell — it’s just noticeably different and earthy and soil is the only way I can describe it. I won’t name vendor but let’s just say I’m 100% positive of authenticity. And no covid
  5. As a long time reader and huge fan of this forum I am finally getting around to my intro. I was born and raised in the Kansas City area and moved the Santa Barbara CA for most of my 20s and have settled down in the Austin TX area in my 30s. I’m a huge music lover and a drummer, especially Jamaican reggae, soul and jazz just to name a few. I work in sales leadership at a Fintech company. My father is an avid cigar smoker who smokes cheapies from cigars international so I grew up around the leaf. Over the past few years cigars have become my favorite new hobby. I love stronger more flavorful CC and plenty of Nicaraguans. it’s a pleasure to be here! Much thanks for the wisdom and entertainment
  6. Okay — first time poster here, long time reader. I’ve got some ‘22 Habanos and I’ve noticed that the smell of them is very earthy like dirt, as opposed to the more fruity barnyard smell of my ‘19 to ‘21 stock. I have found this across multiple marcas from Partagas to Cohiba. Has anyone else noticed this? If so — any experience smoking them? Am I crazy?!
  7. Is there a post on this somewhere? I’m curious and I would like to learn more about what you’re referring to.
  8. When on, this and the PSD4 are the best cigars in the world according to my palate.
  9. I have only had one which was a 2020 tubo that was pretty bland and mild. All of the praise here gets me excited for what’s to come with these, and I may have had a dud
