  1. I've always wanted a two tone, blue faced, rolex submariner...Only problem is i can't afford it...however, even should the day come when i can afford one, i will never be without the watch i currently wear. it is by far the best watch i have ever had or could want in terms of functionality and appearance...it is a luminox, titanium, navy seal dive watch. being made of titanium, it is very light, but rugged as hell! i can't tell you how many times i have really banged the crystal against something and thought it would surely be scratched, but after 3 years, it is as perfect as the day it was new in the box (although i can't say the same for the titanium band which has scratches all over it). it has these features, which were taken from the company's web site: The ultimate illumination system Glows continuously for more than 25 years Glows 100 times brighter than other luminous watches Swiss illumination system is self-powered No need to push button or expose to light to activate illumination system Illumination guaranteed for 10 years Entirely Swiss made with multi-jewel Swiss quartz watch movement Water and Shock resistant oh, yeah...it keeps real good time too:-)
  2. The absoulte best single malt I have ever tried by far is the Lagavulin 16yr metioned above. It is so smooth with the most incredible peaty/smoky flavor. I only wish I could afford to drink it exclusively. In fact, I am about to head out to the patio and enjoy a '03 Sir Winston and a glass of Lagavulin...Cheers
  3. I tried the Langavulin 16 yr. for the first time about two weeks ago and now wish I had not! It was by far the best Scotch I have ever tried...sooooo smokey flavored and smooth. It made my regular Scotch of choice, Chivas 12 yr., taste bad. I wish I could afford to make the switch to Langavulin, but the lowest price I could find is $73 for a 750ml bottle, when I can get a 1.75L bottle of Chivas for $50. El Pres said, you can never have too many vices... but that only applies when you can afford those vices! Cigars take up 90% of my vice money. For now I am going to have to stay with the Chivas and keep on the lookout for a sale on the Langavulin. I saw online, a store in California had the Langavulin on sale for $50, but living in Florida, that does me no good.:-(
  4. » Would anyone be able to comment on 2001 production of this vitola? Best cigar I ever had was a 2001 Sir Winston!!!
  5. » The "Pull Rob out of the Crapper" Sale will be inventive....which » means I had better start thinking now. » » Hell, If I have time I will post it tomorrow. » » Sale will run through until 20th of December so that all shipments will » reach their Aussie and Global destinations....and the winners will be » advised. Here's my suggestion for your sale: 5% off on all purchases of 1 box or on purchases of 25 singles; 10% off on purchases of 2 boxes or cab's of 50; 15% off on purchases of 3 or more boxes; and free shipping on all orders. Oh yeah, and a free box of Rob's choosing for the person who gives the suggestion that Rob uses for his sale:-)
  6. » ***** Free shipping on all 2 box orders (50 handrolled sticks) to » 5/11/05 + Montecriso Millenium Robusto while stocks last ***** » » No minimum post requirement. Thats what I'm talking about!
  7. » <<< Don't try too hard...May I suggest making things easier on yourself and » just offer FREE shipping to everyone. >>> » » Nice try, but then what incentive would all these tossers have for » posting their inane drivel?? :-) I believe that a true tosser does not need an incentive to post inane drivel and that with free shipping, we would continue posting even more drivel than before!:-)
  8. » Good try..........Hmmmmm I am going to really have to come up with a good » one for next month...... The mind is ticking LOL » » TFL Don't try too hard...May I suggest making things easier on yourself and just offer FREE shipping to everyone. That way, you don't have to go and check the post count of everyone who orders! This makes it easier on you, cheaper for us and since more people will order, more money for Rob.:-D
  9. Lisa's service is TOP NOTCH!!!
  10. I have had some premium NC's in my humidor for several years now...opus, padron anny's, etc. but I never want to smoke them. I always find myself going for the CC's. And while there may be some CC's that are not good, I have never had one of those, except if you count the one's that are plugged. I would take a cheap CC that cost around $8, like a BBF or a PSD4 over any premium NC that cost 3 times as much. But to each his own.
  11. Excellent review GoatLocker! Now I have to go and get some.
  12. For everyone that needs to get your posts up, post a me too. And to keep on topic, add your favorite cigar, the one that you could be happing smoking the rest of your life day in and day out, without being able to smoke anything else. Mine would be a Sir Winston...heaven on earth!
  13. » What's your favorite drink to accompany your cigar? My favorite drink is Chivas Regal Scotch with an H. Upmann Sir Winston, that has a few years of age on it. I have found I don't enjoy a cigar nearly as much if I don't have my scotch with it...and the strange thing is that I don't like scotch unless I'm smoking a cigar, but the two together are the perfect compliment to one another.
  14. I have found the PSP2's and BBF's to be good young.
  15. Welcome guilow. No freebies and taking it easy around here...Rob makes you work for his specials:-)
  16. Nice review! These used to be a favorite of mine, until I smoked the last one some time ago. And to think you used to be able to get them for $240 a box...before the EL prices went crazy.:-(
  17. » Now your talking, Rob!!! » » One of my all time favorites, Chivas Regal. While a blend it is still a » damn fine scotch to enjoy neat!! » I'll second the Chivas Regal. That is the only beverage I drink with my cigars. I drink it neat and it is very smooth with nice woody flavors. And, it is also affordable at $50.00 for a 1.75 ml bottle.
  18. » For me: » *Music - more specifically, playing guitar. » *Fountain Pens » » Luckily for me, my dad picked up guitar a few years after I did, and has » always loved fountain pens. When he gets interested in something, he goes » like a bull at a gate. I wish I had extra money for another hobby, but this one takes up every extra dime I make and then some. Especially since I got my cabinet humidor and have been trying to get it filled up.
  19. » Next purchase. » » » Siglo VI or CoRo? :-P » » I've smoked the CoRo, not bad, but have never tried the VI. Sig VI, without a doubt!
  20. » Never had one, but have seen many poor reviews on them....what say ye? Way to pricey for a smaller cigar, especially with all the ho hum reviews...don't think I will be trying them any time soon.
  21. » Nice Special... Raising our standards are we? I hate raising standards...Usually, when I drink, my standards get lower...Rob: go toss a few back and come repost the standard (how 'bout, all members with 1 or more posts get free shipping for life)...now thats a special I can live with:-D
  22. I've never had the DC, but the piramide is definitely not mild...more medium to strong.
  23. » slightly off topic, but its always an interesting sociological poll: » are women smoking cigars: » a) sexy » not sexy? » its always the 33/33/33 split. » very similar to "how do ya like (fill in any cigar here)?" » a) great, better than i anticipated » sucks, way overrated It all depends... An Ugly woman smoking a cigar = Not sexy; A supermodel in lingerie smoking a cigar = SEXY; An average looking woman smoking a cigar = Not sexy; An average looking woman, naked, smoking a cigar = Sexy
  24. PSD #4 from '04 were most excellent. Also a box of Bolivar CG's from '03 are awesome and will only get better. A box of Sir Winnies from '03 are also very tasty, but will continue to improve with time.
  25. Here Here...Three cheers for Lisa! She found me a nice box of cigars that had one more year of box age on them than El Presidente said they had in stock...hmmm...maybe I didn't have enough posts yet for El Pres to hook me up??? Thanks Lisa!!!
