I had lunch with a Puerto Rican friend of mine yesterday. He has made the occasional trip to Cuba via Mexico, but said he would stop because of the new regulations.

Rob, I find this thread very educational to someone new to the Cuban cigar scene. I look forward to hearing and learning more.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I’ll try not to stink up the place. I’ve been a Patriots fan from the days of Bill Parcells. Tedy is listed as “questionable”; but that is often an NFL ploy. You have to love a guy who has such a big heart for the fans and the game. I’d like to offer an observation about the major players on the forum. It seems that El Presidente is a benevolent dictator who has a wise guy side to him. Lisa is the COO and Queen to her devoted subjects. Smithy the village whipping boy. Tampa a wizard of the leaf. And Ken seems to be a knave of undetermined sexual orientation. Is this close? Go Pats!

I have been lurking here for a while and thought I should take the plunge. I'm truly a newbie, hope to learn a lot and maybe one day contribute.
