Sadly I don't think there is a good one around. I usually smoke at the Westin Hotel (No. 1 Martin Place) but the drawback is that drink prices are through the roof. I think there's a thread about this in the archives.

» Does anyone know of a decent cigar bar in Sydney?

Unfortunately, Sydney does not have any decent cigar bars. There are some which are bars that allow you to smoke cigars however.

Cohibar in Darling Harbour is one such venue.

Most 5 star hotels have bars which allows for cigar smoking such as Westin and Sheraton on the the park.

Sydney is seriously lacking in places such as this.

Tampa, current state or smoking legislation makes it near impossible to create an indoor smoking venue. Very unfortunate indeed however in answer to the previous question there are a few pockets of resistance that can be found. All time greatest as from previous threads include:

Kingsleys

Winstons (Sir Stamford Doubel Bay)

Cohibar

FOH Sydney gathering coming soon!!

The Observatory hotel allows cigars Mohan The bar manager will look after you.

Or the Shangri La hotel Horizon Bar level 36 has a private section that seats 8 people plus the best view in Sydney

Unlike most smoker I agree with smoking bans in general, I hate cigarette smoke. I do believe that smoking should be allowed in bars as that a place for vices and if the waitress doesn't want to smell smoke, then serve drinks at a restaurant. But luckily I'm able to find a small surviving business here that are employee owned and bypass any state laws.

How is it down under?
