This Ramon Allones Club Allones Extra Edicion Limitada 2011 divided the global cigar community like no other. You either loved them or hated them but those that bought them certainly were on one side of the fence or the other :cigar:

This 44 X 143 mm cigar wasn't expensive and it was generally deemed to be one that would age well given that many although it had some "rough edges and elbows" on the palate, it did have richness in spades.

Coming on 15 years since release. How did they evolve? Did they evolve at all? Did they age well?

Your experience?

Have your say ;)

They were bangers fresh and even better now. One of the all time EL bargains and I took great advantage of that fact. Took a little sting out of the tragic loss of the magnificent RAC.

I seem to recall that a few Ramon Allones special releases were powerhouses back then (when released). The Asia-Pacific Regional Edition Ramón Allones Celestiales Finos being a prime example also.

The cigar gods were very good to me with this cigar. Got a box as soon as they were for sale, I loved the size and love fruity tobacco. Waited my mandatory 30 minutes to smoke a cigar I’ve never tried and it was just what I’d hoped for! A delicious fruitcake bomb, reminded me what RA regular production used to smoke like 50 years ago🦕🦖Ordered more immediately, and while waiting for them started reading reviews, most were not good. The 'ole 'fireproof EL wrapper complaint' and 'they taste like dirt', I can remember. There were some very good reviews, maybe a bad cigar brings out the keyboard quicker. Seems like there were some fantastic boxes and lots of nightmares. I’m nursing my was through my last box, for me it’s an incredible smoke with vintage Port. TAU SEP11

PS…Yes, they were expensive!

I wanted to like these so much. I love the vitola, beautiful appearance, great construction, but that was where it ended. I've heard that the blend depends greatly on the factory, but I cannot confirm. I'm glad there are fans, but my experiences were not pleasant, unfortunately.

Cheers!
