Popular Post MoeFOH Posted August 17, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 17, 2025 "You can't handle the truth!" Looking at it on the script before the movie was made, you could probably never have imagined the iconic delivery Jack would attach to this simple line. What one single line/monologue has the greatest delivery of all time for you? 🎬 📽️ Is it a dramatic knockout from the likes of Bogart, Brando, Pacino, DeNiro, Streep, Hepburn, or big Jack... or maybe a unique line-puncher like a Sam Jackson, or a Walken... or perhaps some comedic brilliance from the likes of Wilder, Pryor, Murray, Williams, Carrey, et al... or someone in between... 🤔 Post em' up! 5

Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome." -Steve Zissou (Bill Murray) 5

riderpride Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 From Dusk Till Dawn - I don't think anyone could deliver this as well as Clooney. Carlos: So, what, were they psychos, or... Seth: Did they look like psychos? Is that what they looked like? They were vampires. Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them, I don't give a **** how crazy they are! Cheers! 1 3
Popular Post Capn_Jackson Posted August 18, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2025 This line in Heat was improvised by Pacino, as confirmed by director Michael Mann. Hank Azaria’s reaction was genuine, he was completely stunned. One of the best! 8
Bill Hayes Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 "I told her I was a Cherokee chief". From 'The Outlaw Jose Wales'. Big nod to "Missouri boat ride" too. 3
Capn_Jackson Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 Another…. In Little Miss Sunshine, Alan Arkin: ”What’s that, chicken? Every night it’s the f***ing chicken!” I saw this in the theater, and his delivery of this rant had me laughing so hard I fell outta my chair. Something about it just hit me hard. It was just sudden and unpredictable, brilliant. 😆 4
Capn_Jackson Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 Sorry to throw three in here. The movie Arthur is full of timeless quotes, but the way Dudley Moore phrased this line was so perfectly perfect. ”Everyone who drinks is not a poet. Some of us drink because we’re not poets.”
Li Bai Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 So many unforgettable ones from The Silence of the Lambs... 3
Li Bai Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 One of the most savage ones, "Tell me mom, when your little girl is on the slab, where will it tickle you?" 2

Tough to get a movie that packs so many punches, is raunchy, hilarious, and brings home important messages. Some great ones mentioned already. A few more: "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse." - Godfather "Say hello to my little friend." - Scarface "Here's Johnny!" - The Shining "Why... so... serious?" - The Dark Knight "Show me the money!!" - Jerry Maguire "This is SPARTA!" - 300 "Are you not entertained?" - Gladiator "King Kong ain't got shit on me!" - Training Day 6
westg Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 "Hello my name is Inigo Montoya you killed my father prepare to die." Sounds so much better with a Spanish accent. 2 1
Gubbins Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 More the scene than the delivery I suppose. After being dismissed and shamed by his brother, Tuco puts on a front to Blonde that no matter what happens he will always have a brother than loves him and at the very least will feed him a bowl of soup. Blondie sees through his lies, but plays along and empathises saying, "Well, after a bowl of soup, there's nothing like a good cigar." And like that, the two heroes bury the hatchet and the team are back together. 2 1
westg Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 Just saw this on insta. And made me think of Joe Pesci in Casino...50 bucks for anyone who can hit the plane. And yes I posted it in the comments. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNeUzdXC0p2/?igsh=Yjl6bGprZWhtNmtv 2
JohnS Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 The greatest movie line of all time would have to be, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." That line, uttered by Clark Gable playing the character of Rhett Butler at the end of the epic film, Gone with the Wind, greatly shocked audiences and made a huge impact on culture thereafter because the word 'damn' being spoken in a film was unimaginable at the time. It's all subjective, of course. Consider the Top Ten lists below from three different sources: AFI's 100 Years...100 Movie Quotes 1. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." Gone with the Wind (1939) 2. "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." The Godfather (1972) 3. "You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am." On the Waterfront (1954) 4. "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore." The Wizard of Oz (1939) 5. "Here's looking at you, kid." Casablanca (1942) 6. "Go ahead, make my day." Sudden Impact (1983) 7. "All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up." Sunset Boulevard (1950) 8. "May the Force be with you." Star Wars (1977) 9. "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night." All About Eve (1950) 10. "You talkin' to me?"
