LordAnubis Posted April 19 Posted April 19 One of my struggles have been to find the perfect golf cigars for me. Recently I’ve resorted to cutting toros in half and smoking them in halves. So; imagine you can cut and paste cigars together (flavour wise), what would you slice and glue? For me. First half of D6 with the second half of a Cohiba Secretos. 2
JohnS Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Haha...can you imagine @Smallclub responding to this thread? Sacre bleu! 😂 1 2
Mike Mecklenburg Posted April 19 Posted April 19 TOSCANO Cigars. They are made in Italy and made to be cut in half. They are fire-cured so they don't have to be humidified. It's the cigar Clint Eastwood would smoke in the Spaghetti Westerns. https://www.toscanocigars.com/ 2
LordAnubis Posted April 19 Author Posted April 19 If Sahakian can cut a cola into 2/3 - 1/3 then I’m sure I’m fine cutting up a NC 😂 1
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted April 20 Popular Post Posted April 20 I’m confused. Why do you need to cut a golf cigar in half? Do you play a round in less than 2 hours? I played yesterday, Monte 2 on the front nine, HU2 on the back. 5
nKostyan Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I did a similar experiment. As it turned out, I'm not the only one 3

I played yesterday, Monte 2 on the front nine, HU2 on the back. I play 9 in about 1:45. I like to finish the cigar by the 5th. An ideal cigar for me is 45mins. Robustos take me 1:15 mins however. I might dip the toe in and try the Nudies half coronas when they come out. 2
zeedubbya Posted April 20 Posted April 20 As for a cut and paste exercise, I would take 2/3 of a Siglo 2 and paste it to 2/3 of a Partagas Short to make the perfect Lonsdales (or thereabouts). Love the way the Siglo 2 smokes and the way the Party Short smokes. Or maybe I’d just paste them together for a superb Gran Coronas… 🤔 As for golf cigars, I (*used to) think a Lusi or a Punch Dc was the perfect golf cigar. Light it about number 3 and be done by about 15. The smoke doesn’t bother me like on a shorter stick if I want to hold in my mouth during chips and putts, you can put it down for a bit and it is okay to pick back up and keep smoking, and when you hook it to the cigar clip it has a lot hanging out for most of the smoke. I’m pretty sure @leafdream54 feels same way. **I say used to, because at replacement cost, it’s hard to justify it now, grabbing a DC to smoke at golf course feels weird, when the value of the cigar is more than the green fee! 3
Wookie Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I smoked a 6x52 avowed “new dawn” yesterday with my son on the golf course. Stupendous light bodied new stick from Klaas Kelner’s factory.
