Unique cigar box in the form of a Pagoda with a flap opening mechanism. 19th century.

A unique cigar box in the form of a Chinese Pagoda, made in the style of Boule, with a petal mechanism for opening the doors. France. 19th century. It is a hexagonal pagoda on round gilded legs, with a sloping roof topped with a gilded pine cone. A gilt-bronze lever opens the side panels to expose the reed-like cigar lodges at the pagodas umbrella roof. As well as cases for smaller cigars on the inner walls of the panels. Excellent condition after restoration.
