Popular Post Tdm_86 Posted June 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2023 Decided on a short panetela with a glass of South African sparkly. The band was stuck, so I hid it with my thumb as it’s a tiny band anyway. Pre-light Not the most amazing looking out of the box, a little veiny and as mentioned the band is stuck to the wrapper. Light aroma of some hay and wood. Punch cut the cap, fairly easy draw and not much in the light of discernible flavor. First half A bit of cedar and hay, draws well and puts off good smoke. Once it warms up a bit there is a hint of some clove spice on the back of the palate. Cruises right along without needing attention, quite nice. The smoke has a creamy quality about it. Second half Still the same combination of flavors once past the halfway mark, just meandering on. Once I near the band there’s a coffee and cream on the front of the palate, backed with the clove note. On the retrohale maybe a faint stone fruit. Conclusion Very enjoyable, great construction for such a small cigar. Perfect for an early afternoon in the sun. Doesn’t blow out the palate, especially with the excellent palate cleanser that is a sparkling wine. Smoke time on this was a little over 40 minutes. 90/100 6
Sir Diggamus Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Without the "Short Panatela" note the profile screams RASCC to me. But in light of the size I will also go with the Le Hoyo du Depute.
