This was my splurge this year. Didn’t drop as much coin as many here, but it took a lot of fortitude to pull the trigger.

My 1977 Motobecane 40T moped. Ain't she a beaut!

Not exactly a buy, but for the second time in 5 years I got ambushed with a puppy at my parents. My cousin’s frenchie had a litter and they couldn’t find a home for this girl after 5 buyers fell throu

Ziricote back and sides. Cedar soundboard. Luthier: Jim Holler
It sounds superb (but only when played )

Awesome!!! Love the integrated bevel. First zircote nylon I’ve seen.

I’m learning Tarrega Capricho right now but play it on a steel string.

Thanks. My right arm loves the bevel in the binding. It is quite comfortable, but according to the luthier, difficult to build.

Are you playing Capricho with your R.H. fingers/nails?

Bought it with my two boys on Satyrday. 1/3rd each.  Little fishing runaround for the river and bay.

It never stops ;)

Very nice! I’ve personally never really been a boat man (I consider them money pits), but that is very nice. Looks kinda like what we call in the states a fish & ski, you can have fun and feed yourself in that boat :)

Good father son time + they can take it out with their mates whenever they want.  It will be well used.

Yes flesh and nail. I’ve played fingerstyle on steel string for years just not a lot from the classical repertoire, mostly Celtic and blues. capricho is such a haunting bit of music!

Best size ever! I have had smaller and bigger boats but I swear it seems like the best times were had on that size vessel. The go anywhere do anything size. 👍🏻

I still look for the yard sale finds! Back in the "80's, I stopped to get gas after sleeping in the van after a gig the night before and saw a garage sale sign. Bought the 4 piece "New Broadway Jazz" kit for $90. !2, 16, 22.  Sold most of everything since, but will give these to a worthy home before I pop me clogs!!!

That’d go nicely in my snare collection!

Oh, I think we can come up with better names for a fishing boat:

  • Unsinkable II
  • Myott
  • Fishizzle
  • Master Baiter
  • Aquaholic
  • Joint Venture (since it is owned by the 3 of you... and the kids are going to be partying on it :lookaround:)
  • Net Fish & Chill
  • Crusty Seamen
  • Knot 2 Bad
  • Playbuoy
  • Nauty Buoy
  • Boatox
  • Titan Uranus
  • Tunadude
  • Petit Corona or Demi Tasse (since it is a small boat)

At the harbor when I was a kid there was a lovey boat, Coquette. She pulled a long a dinghy,

Coquette’s Tender Behind.

Classic.

Drum porn. I have fewer drums than I want and more drums than I need.
