Dude, you literally called me an anti-vaxxer:

it is obvious that you and other anti-vaxxers will never be convinced by science but take your natural immunity and sit on a pyramid and chant kumbaya or whatever but we have done the vaccination debate to death.

Thinking that a young, healthy man, with no symptoms, who has previously recovered from a virus shouldn’t need two doses of a vaccine (that isn’t even fully approved here) in order to play a game outside shouldn’t be an considered an extreme opinion.

Agreed. BTW, isn't tennis a sport where there are two players that have always been "socially distanced"?

Not to beat a dead horse, but the sport doesn’t matter. He could be there to diddle himself on a desert island and it still wouldn’t change the entry and visa requirements for the country. He doesn’t get to come in just because he plays a “socially distanced sport” while others get denied entry. Also, he might be socially distanced on the court but that has zero bearing on what happens the other 22 hours a day while there. Illogical.

It’s not about whether or not you agree with the policy (not sure I do), it’s about whether or not it gets enforced evenly.

Laughable

Indeed LOL ....

He forgot to mention he is also Jesus on a cross being crucified in OZ ... embarrassing stuff.

“They’re trying to crucify him,” said his father, Srdjan Djokovic, who held a press conference at his pizza restaurant in Belgrade. He complained that his son will spend Eastern Orthodox Christmas, which begins Thursday evening, in the detention hotel room which, according to the Srdjan Blic newspaper in Serbia, is dirty and “full of bugs.” Dozens of Djokovic’s supporters are protesting for his release in both Serbia and Australia.

And he’s out and free to compete. Procedural issues with the Border Force not providing adequate time for ND to get representation.

Immigration Minister still has power to cancel his visa. The Aust Govt has gone to far to back down now.

If so that would block him returning for 3 years, correct?

The Australian government is an absolute disgrace, truly the laughing stock of the entire world at this point with their clown antics and concentration camps for their own citizens. Now they are persecuting and discriminating against one of the greatest athletes of all time because he refuses to do a medical procedure that has dubious benefits at best.

Djoker played by the rules and did absolutely nothing wrong.

You guys should be angry at your joke of a government. Not Novak.

Renata Veracova has left the country after her visa was cancelled. She entered on similar exemption, and was planning on getting jabbed, but caught covid before her appointment.

But Fuzz, that's impossible. It's an outdoor socially distanced sport. Clearly someone infected her on purpose.

Just close your eyes and imagine for a second... you fly to a country with all the paper work you need and have been told to bring, and have been pre-approved for. Your documentation has been approved by a panel of professionals. You get there. You're refused entry. You then go to court where a judge rules that youve done everything you could possibly do and was asked of you, so the government has no right to detain you.... then the government says "i am god, i have the power to kick you out anyway just because i feel like it". If you told this story to anyone you'd for sure be thinking, oh yeah classic Zimbabwe, palm them a few bucks and it'll work out... but no... welcome to Australia.

Whats even funnier is the people who WERE ALREADY IN THE COUNTRY for a month... a month! at this point they are no threat to anyone. THey let them in an then just refuse their visa. 😂

The Minister has the power to cancel his visa and whether to apply the ban or not. It need not be mandatory. And even if they did apply the ban, the Minister can always later intervene and remove it, or No-vax can apply for it to be removed.
