Mine would have to be this PLPC that I tried this morning. I’ve had a box resting for 3 months, I dry boxed this stick for 2 days and it’s not even close. I’ll try them again at the very end of the year.

Whats the worst performing stick you’ve had over the past few weeks?

Interesting.
I have had quite a few recent production PLPC's and thought they were very good.

Box dates were usually 2019 or 2020

These just need more rest. They’re not burning properly yet and the only flavors coming out are acrid and bitter.

Mine would be an Arturo Fuente Don Carlos 80th Anniversario personal Reserve that was extremely bitter throughout the entire time. Dont know what the problem was as ones before and after have been great, but that one was terrible. I only kept smoking it in the hopes the bitterness would go away but it was a real struggle to not put it out right away

Bummer.
Fortunately I have never had a problem with anything rott and a 2021 box date.

Guess I've just been lucky.

Do they seem over humidified from the vendor? I know that can cause bitterness.
Fortunately none of the vendors I currently use seem to have high rh storage so they are always good to go on arrival

You’re lucky! Yeah I think they were probably a little over humidified. I’ve had plenty of PLPC before and am a fan, I’ll just need to wait on these a bit longer. I wish I had your luck ROTT!

I do NC reviews so I get to try a lot of new product, much if it is not particularly memorable.

The most recent poor experience was the Camacho Liberty 2021. Really unbalanced flavor profile with an awful burn performance and a tight draw. To top it off the vitola was a 7"x48 so I suffered through almost 3 hours for this review.

The 2nd and 3rd RYJ SC out of a OCT 20 box. First one was fantastic. A lot of fruit flavors and very nuanced . The last two I have smoked have been very bitter and flat once I got into the second third.

Punch short de Punch… started very mild but intensified to bitter and flavours of sandlewood soap. Not sure what to do with the rest of the box, not loving these…

Davidoff Millenium Petit Corona.

I just can't wrap my head around Davidoff yet, tastes like expensive cardboard to me. Perhaps I am just not sophisticated enough.

Davidoff yamasa. Tasted like gum glue.

For CCs it was a D4. Just bland and sad. To be fair, I think I over did it when I discovered them. Too many boxes for a one trick pony perhaps. My hope is after some time they'll be lovely again.

I do enjoy those in larger vitolas - the Piramides make a semi regular rotation through my humidor.

Worst for me was a Partagas Maduro #1, LMB SEP 18 - nothing but huge, bitter tar flavors.  Took hours to get the film off my palate.

I really love the Yamasa blend (particularly in Toro) and yet to have a bad one although tried a Piramides that wasn't wonderful.

Worst smoke I've had recently is the Davidoff Robusto Intenso LE. It wasn't intense, it wasn't flavourful, it was incredibly expensive (UK prices) and it felt badly constructed (which for a Davidoff is fairly rare). I bought it from a B&M of impeccable standing so I guess I just got a bad stick.

All Cubans from our host have been on point. I didn't much care for the Vegas Robaina Unico although I sparked it up the same day I got it so will reserve judgment for a few more months :)

2014 Siglo V.  Horrible cigar.  Smoking hot air.

So happy to hate this cigar.  Can't find them anymore, couldn't afford them if I could.

2019 Siglo IV. Couldn’t even make it halfway. Burn and construction was fine, just tasted terrible.

PLPC - no box, prob 2021 - I was advised they need at least 5 years rest for the caramel

RyJ Cazadores MAR 21 - tight, bitter, wont stay lit, several sticks absolutely horrible

QdO 50. It must have been missing 30% of the filler. Seriously. It made me wonder if an entire leaf bunch didn't make it in. I pinched it down to less than a half inch hoping it would do something, but it was just a joke of a cigar.

BRE 2017 HU #2 - emphasis on the #2 this thing was rancid and burned like a wet paper bag.  I could tell the wrapper looked a little rough so I was expecting some burn issues, and boy did I get them.  Bummer.

Esmeralda last night. Loose fill tunneled, then burned out the side of the wrapper, wouldn’t stay lit. It was a tasty mess.
