What’s the worst cigar you’ve had recently?

A D4 from early 2020. The box is a lost cause.

2018 Parti Short from a cabinet - they just won't burn.  Waited another 6 months and tried another one - first half was pretty good - last half two puffs relight and repeat until frustrated.  Same as every other one from this box so far.  I've smoked (or let others try) 12 so far usually waiting at least three months between tries to see if they improve.  How can you roll 12 of them that only burn ½ way through before going out - amazing consistency in the wrong way.  Well, I've got 38 more of them to see how long this trend lasts.  At this rate they'll last another 9 years.  The 2019 box of Parti Shorts sitting on top of them in the humi smokes great.

I had the same experience with my first one out of a box I had resting for about 6 months.  Started off mild and turned into what I could only describe as candle wax, absolutely terrible.  Smoked another 2 months later about two weeks ago and it was much better so I have hope.  I have 2 boxes so fingers crossed.

The first one I had was meh, second was quite good, last two have been terrible. It’s like they’re going into reverse, will try again in a year or so…

Double Coronas have been quite problematic the past few years construction-wise, IMO. I'll be be buying zero going forward.

Just had the 1st Partagas Maduro #1 from the box  - TOS OCT 16. Tasted like soap. First time experiencing this phenomenon.  Fingers crossed it was just the one. It did improve a bit on the last 3rd to that “grandma’s purse”flavor. Who ever first identified that specific flavor is hilarious but spot on.

Underfilled, over-humidified siglo II from a shop in Paris.  More like trying to light a bubble gum cigar on fire than one made from tobacco.

2019 Connie A - was a wind tunnel with zero flavor aside from an occasional taste of hot air and ash. Of course I tried another a week later that had a tighter draw and it was probably the best cigar I had all week. 🇨🇺

Yeah, apparently I have gotten lucky that the few vendors I buy from dont seem to send over humidified smokes like others in the past have.

Very nice not to have to wait a month for new arrivals to acclimate to my rh

I splurged on trying a large number of Davidoff's and I didn't care for almost all of them either.

I do like several of the Zinos though. Totally different animal...

For CCs it was a D4. Just bland and sad. To be fair, I think I over did it when I discovered them. Too many boxes for a one trick pony perhaps. My hope is after some time they'll be lovely again.

The HDM DC I had was badly plugged or too tightly rolled and the wrapper and binder cracked in several places causing leaks, when using my PerfecDraw tool on it.
Had to patch the cracks and the draw was still terrible. Was my first ever DC, and is supposed to be the best HDM vitola. Was a very disappointing experience.

Hopefully the SLR DC I have doesn't have issues

Yep. Recently had 2 from an OCT 20 box, an absolute disasterpiece in both cases. The burn comedic with a flavor profile to match.

Indeed, introduced in 2015, the Partagas Maduro No.1 wasn't an immediate hit. Like the introduction of the Quai d'Orsay No. 50 and No.54 and its influence on the critical resurgence of the Quai d'Orsay Coronas Claro, the Partagas Maduro No.1 very much gained stature from the introduction of the Partagas Maduro No.2 and No.3 in 2018.

Finally tried some Davidoffs last month -- a Yamasa, a Signature 2000, and a Special 'R'. Maybe they're bland and uninteresting by design, they all had that in common. I have a really mediocre box of Monte 4s I bought blind (ATP SEP 18), which are the other worst cigars I've had recently, and each one has easily been better than any of those Davidoffs.

This cigar tonight could be an all time disappointment. Last one from the box. All have tasted uselessly strong.
