Second time getting what seems like a fake Siglo V from a Canadian brick and mortar (two different stores). Signs were pretty obvious (box code was wrong font, cigar cap looked wrong) but I wanted to see for myself.

Looks like you dissected shortly after lighting, was it pretty bad?

Taste was pretty bad, nothing redeeming. That was about as far as I could smoke it in the second picture after I ashed it. Either fake or worst Cohiba I've had in the past year (except the last potential fake).

I don't know enough about dissection to know what to look for there. Just thought it might be of some interest.

Though the cap looks suspect, the band appears legit from your images.

I'm pretty sure the band is real. I think $20 can get you a roll of real bands in Cuba.

It would be interesting to know if there is micro printing on the Taino heads within the gold borders. Need a minimum of a 10x loupe

I'll go check. I think I have one lying around. I am pretty sure I saw them on the label of the last questionable Siglo V I had.
