Popular Post LordAnubis Posted July 21, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 21, 2021 Eid Mubarak everyone! Today is a rather sombre day for my family. My cousins husband in South Africa, young guy in his late 20s, just passed away this morning. Im in home quarantine at the moment so its hard being away from my family at a time like this. At times like this i like to look through examples of Islamic teachings during pandemic situations. - As many of you know, there is an Athaan (call to prayer). Before every prayer (5 per day) there is an Athaan that is recited. If you've ever travelled to a muslim country you have no doubt been awoken before sunrise by one of these Athaans. During times of pandemic a special Athaan is recited that replaces the words "come for prayer" with "pray in your homes" - Several parts of the quran mention that patience is one of the best blessings to have within ones self. - Prophet Muhammed has said explicitly that if one hears of an outbreak of plague in a land, to not go to it, and if one is in an area where there is an outbreak, to not run from it. I like to think that examples such as this can bring common ground between most people and the muslim world. I find most people have views (and rightly so from whats reported to them in the mainstream) that islam is very rigid and set. I dont believe it is the case in the slightest. As with everything, there are multiple interpretations and some people take a more moredate understandng and others a more closed minded understanding. May we all have a blessed day no matter what your beliefs, and enjoy peace, friendship and contentment. Mus 8 7

Mus إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رٰجِعونَVerily we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we returnMay Allah make it easy for your family, I know SA has been hit had with covid and recently with the riots. But today is Eid and a day to celebrate, I hope you grabbed a good cigar to smoke. It is crazy how the lock downs vary between countries, here in the US our Eid prayer went on as normal. I am seeing more mask recently due to fear of the delta variant. I even wore my mask during Eid prayer as a lot of people picked in one place, even tho I am fully vaccinated. Eid Mubarak! Habana Mike Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 Eid Mubarak! Some words of wisdom regarding plagues. The modern world tends not to subscribe to that obviously. Condolences on your loss.
