LCDH Bands Red vs Gold

Recommended Posts

What’s up with the Punch 48 having gold LCDH bands? I was rummaging through the humidor looking for tonight’s smoke and noticed that it’s secondary band was gold while the other LCDH bands I have are red.

Does anyone have any insight as to any differences this might indicate / which cigars have gold vs red ?

There are three types of releases: LCDH, LCDH + Habanos Specialist and Habanos Specialist.

Gold bands are for "LCDH + Habanos Specialist" releases. Red (maroon) bands are for LCDH exclusives.

Habanos Specialist releases sport no extra band (SC Torreon, Connie A, PL Picadores) although the initial run of Torreon in 2013 apparently did erroneously have the maroon LCDH second bands.

You are just a wealth of knowledge my friend. Thanks for the quick guide.

Are there any other lcdh + specialists releases out there? Only one I was able to find was the upcoming Cohiba Novedosos

Excellent post.
Very good explanation of something I have wondered about too, even though I don't smoke a lot of LCDH's, but have a few different ones currently and noticed the difference in band color too

Scdh Prado is also part of this line-up.
