Popular Post Akela3rd Posted May 15, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 15, 2021 The weather is...well, it isn't raining or windy at the moment...OK. Now that it isn't actually freezing anymore the cigars are getting bigger and my current go-to is the Dip 2. This box, which I'm almost halfway through after a month, has been glorious. Beautiful slightly mottled wrappers, perfect construction and smoking like a dream. The opening is fruity and sweet - plums, cherries with just the merest hint of spice. Plenty of body and luscious, creamy smoke. Not strong, but flavourful and rich. Into the second third and I carry on, undeterred by the slight spotty rain - the fire and the cigar are good. A little dark chocolate in the mix but little else to report, still excellent. Into to final third and the fruit has finally receded, dark chocolate and fragrant wood dominate. Still smooth and rich, slight pepper tingle on the lips. Overall an excellent cigar and at 9 months from the factory a resounding testament to the quality of both the rolling and the leaf in use. A quiet evening by the fire makes this a 9/10. Sent by spooky action at a distance 5
