Popular Post Çnote Posted April 18, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 18, 2021 I got this box in a very generous trade in Sept 2019. This is the 10th-ish I've smoked and have 9 to go. I'm burying 5 for 2022-2023 but have the 4 all on deck for the next few weeks as they've been great. Focusing in on one ready box has greatly enhanced my understanding of storage and absolute humidity. Depending on the deltas between storage humidity and smoking conditions, they drift from bitter expresso, to creamy savory egg, to KitKat. I have not had a tough cigar out of the box per se, but the bitter ones have been in higher heat with higher humidity for sure, which is something I'll be keeping in mind when approaching boxes that I've put away over the next few years. This last one was almost spot on: stored at 68/68% and smoked 65/70%. Aged toasted tobacco upfront, retrohales of candied nut paste, cocoa powder, crisp waffles. No rough edges, consistent flavors from 1st light to end, just up and down playfully in intensity at the appropriate intervals. Great cigar at a great age 9/11, can understand the hype for this underrated brand. Poorman's Montecristo indeed. 9
FlyingGlass Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Nice review! Looking forward to adding a box to the supply.
