Popular Post Goodfortune Posted January 1, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 1, 2021 Haven’t had time to smoke much during the holidays but making up for it today. 2nd cigar from the Christmas sampler. Sitting outside in 60F weather and it is very windy. Pairing with a Topo Chico mineral water. Pre light draw: Draw was a bit tight, made a couple passes with the PerfecDraw to loosen it up a bit. Nothing overwhelming flavor wise, some natural sweet tobacco. 1/3: Draw is still on the tighter side but producing plenty of smoke. Natural tobacco, hay, some nuttiness and slightly bitter coffee. 2/3: Burn has been sharp and the ash was holding strong, until the wind picked up and knocked my cigar off the stand. Flavors are a bit muted though. Hay and natural tobacco mainly, thankfully the bitterness died down. 3/3: Probably the best third of the cigar. Hay, vanilla and nuttiness, with a bit of cocoa and wood. I could definitely tell that this was young. Flavors were not well defined but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. Final smoke time was around 70 minutes. Final score 88 I have a PSP box of these that I bought earlier this year. Had been tempted to crack into them, but was trying to hold off. This example helped me to realize I am making the right decision in keeping my hands off them until they are older. 12
Kaptain Karl Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Great review! It really seems like the Cohiba Robusto is one of the remaining CC's that really need 3-5 years on them to blossom into something special. 3

I have my box tucked away in the bottom of my humidor and plan to forget about it for at least a few years. For the price of these, I want to make sure I am maximizing my smoking experience.
JZBdano Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Thanks for sharing your thoughts, nice review. I felt the same way with the few young ones I've had. My Cohibas get 5yrs minimum and the first boxes I bought are hitting that milestone. It's pretty awesome cracking a 5yr old box. They are definitely something special. 1

I’ve got some time to go before I hit that 5 year mark, but hoping the reward will be worth the wait. Enjoy yours!
Tstew75 Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 These need 3-4 years minimum. Every time I smoke one I'm reminded of this lol 1
