Keep the box, toss the cigar!

You have to hand it to them for their resourcefulness. I mean, it almost looks like it could be a legit method of packaging for a cigar company.

At least the internet had made it less likely people fall for fakes but the vast majority of people buying fakes like that know zero about cigars and are buying for their father-in-law or uncle on vacation. I especially wish cruise ships would tell all passengers 99.9% of all cigars in port are fake.

A very good friend (and a top executive at a Fortune 500 company) knew I liked cigars and bought me a box on Monte #2's in Mexico.  Wrong size, wrong shape, wrong box - as an executive you'd thought he might have known better!  I never had the heart to tell him - just gave him some good cigars the next time we went golfing together.  I kept those cigars for 10 years in my humi and finally tried them with @Devo this past Christmas.  We both can attest to the rule that bad cigars never get better even with a lot of age.  After each of us smoked ½ of the cigar the whole box finally hit the garbage.

Raw material price (glass) is 2 times expensive than last Christmas in China, the price of 2019 is the highest among the 2010's.

Bad cigars will never get better.
