Popular Post X-Man Posted May 5, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 5, 2020 Factory Name: Parejos Common Name: Panetela Dimension: 38rg 166mm, 6.5” Appearance: Silky smooth with very nice sheen on the wrapper Construction: The weight is 8.77grams, just south of the average weight. There is no hard or soft spot through out the cigar. Cold Draw: Tasted raisins and dried fruits. There is no resistance in drawing. Flavors - 1st 3rd: Upon lighting, the cigar is very aromatic and lots of fume. Right from the get go, one can tell this cigar is well constructed. Understand this is a review for Skinnies vs Hand Canons, but often times we would be concerned with draw issues of cigars with smaller ring gauge. Not with this Selectos Finos, superb construction with very pleasant floral notes. 2nd 3rd: As with all smaller ring gauge cigars, one need to take time and draw very slowly to enjoy and appreciate the finesse of this cigar. I am getting roasted almonds and cashews. As La Escepcion is supposed to be the sister brand of Hoyo de Monterrey, it is interesting to note this cigar also has the hallmark sweet and creamy notes. Final 3rd: The strength and intensity picked up towards the final stretch. I am getting oak and white pepper powder. Not sure if I was drawing too fast, but it is too delicious to not allow me to have patience to slow down. The strong tobacco taste reminds me of the H Upmann Sir Winstons. I am going to give this 95/100. 10
