Popular Post Stump89
Corona Gorda and lonsdale are some of my favorite sizes. Unfortunately there are so few options left. I had planned on having another wonderful Ramon Allones Superiores, but some digging revealed that I had 1 Partagas Corona Gorda Añejado. This was a smoke more for curiosity than anything. My experience with the añejados program has been subpar at best. Don't even get me started on the Hoyo. But this is a nice looking cigar. Draw is perfect, at cold it tastes of generic tobacco and some molasses, quite nice. Then there was the smoking... Starts with a nice Partagas profile of sourdough bread, a slight spice like white pepper, and a faint unsweetened tea flavor, and even a little cream. Unfortunately there aren't and changes going into the second 3rd. The flavor profile degrades pretty quickly. By the last 3rd, it's kinda like hot air and I decide I'm done with it. The first 3rd of this was easily 90+. But after 20 minutes of good stuff, the rest was pretty bad honestly. Overall construction and burn were pretty good. I'd rate 75/100 at best. Shoulda grabbed a JL1 or a Superiores, but ya live and ya learn lol.
Ritch
These are currently one of my favourites. Creamy and spicy. Yummy
tsuh
Such an aesthetically pleasing cigar. Sadly, I've never read a good review about them.
BuzzArd
If had two from the same box. Thought they were really quite good. Not as multidimensional as some cigars, but they were still very good. Thanks for the review!
Stump89
I've heard this is the best of the añejados line. Totally possible this one was just a dud. Still liked it better than the Hoyo hermoso 4 lol!
NYMets01
I also heard it was the best of the line. Not sure if that speaks to anejados as a whole or the quality of the cigar itself!
KavalanWhisky
I picked up a box of these and smoked one this weekend after a few weeks rest. It was decent, cuban tight draw and got nice leathery notes with hay and some hints of toasted caramel. It was a little one dimensional. Not bad and will try another in a few months. I've only tried the Hoyo Anejado as well and enjoyed that so I've had decent experience with the line.
Ritch
I like the Hoyo Anejado as well. I wint pay silly money for either but I do enjoy them. A sampler wouldn't go a miss
