Popular Post havanaclub Posted September 3, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 3, 2018 Absolutely love the size of this vitola and was very excited to light this one up. I dry boxed this for a few days. Paired with an Aussie Moscato Jacobs Creek and finished with a goose island ISA beer. 1st: Cohiba grass/hay 2nd: the sweetness picked up in the second third where I was getting a touch of honey. The retrohale was very smooth and really helped to bring out the honey sweetness. 3rd: more of the classic Cohiba flavour and was transitioning into some nutty flavours..maybe almond? Burn was pretty good, it did require a few touch ups. The wrapper on this was fairly dark with some oils present. The draw was spot on and I decided to do a V cut as it was very densely packed. Classic cigar that I really enjoyed! I would rate it a 93 easy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 8

NYMets01 Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Interesting perspective on the v-cut. Do you typically determine cut based on how packed the cigar appears? For me, it’s sinply more that I prefer the v-cut. Seems cleaner overall but never really thought about it matching up with whether a cigar is over or underfilled.

Not really, but I have noticed that a V cut does tend to open up the draw more than let’s say a punch or a little straight cut. I mainly like to punch but would never V cut an underfilled spongy cigar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
patrick_harmon44 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Picked up this same box code and love them so far. I agree a couple to a few years and these will gain a lot of balanced complexity. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
