99call Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Currently enjoying a wonderful Dieux from 2012, and something I'd not really thought about before struck me. It's pretty much the only cigar I can think of that can go (not all the time) from light to full. The start was cake, oodles of floral vanilla, toast, cedar. The 2/3 starts to gets musty, and the tannic woods begin. By the end the dry white tannic woods are overpoweringly good. As a flavour white woods could be considered a 'light flavour' but Dieux manages to deliver it, with so much musk, as cant see it as anything but full body. It got me thinking, what other cigars start genuinely light, and end genuinely full. I'm drawing a blank?
Philc2001 Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 RAGs have that effect on me, and to lesser extent so do Monte Especials. It could just be their length behaving as a filter trapping flavor residue, and then as you burn through it the trapped residue burns and adds to the flavor. 1

Cheers
El Presidente Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Juan Lopez Seleccion Number 1 has a lovely light medium to medium full transition.

Optic101 Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Sr Winston come to my mind. I second the Monte Especial.
