This is my second cigar of the box, the first I had at the beginning of September after maybe a month in the humidor and got a weird chemical/grassy taste throughout the whole cigar.

first 1/3: Bitter cocoa/black coffee then a nice somewhat sweet tobacco taste. Bolivar 1.jpg

2/3: A mix of bitter cocoa and a little light coffee. Slight spice on some puffs. The nicest part of CC's vs. NC is the lack of pepper NC's are full of

Bolivar 2.jpg

3/3: More of the same flavors, I wasn't expecting too much complexity due to how young the cigar is. My main hope was that the chemical taste of the last one I tried was gone. More of the classic cuban twang in this last 1/3. The usual tar taste that comes with nubbing a cigar set in earlier than usual, maybe because of it's youth? Bolivar 3.jpg

Overall good construction/good burn and it shows potential to benefit huge from a few years of age. 88/100 but can easily see them getting to mid 90's in a few years.

Nice job, Boli RCs (as most Bolis, IMO) really do improve with age, it removes the harshness and brings out its true flavours.

I'm going through the same weird chemical/grass aftertaste as well on a box of 2011 RASS. They haven't been in anything other than a cedar cabinet. Really confusing me. Great review!
