Here we go again. Another generous gift from @Trevor2118. What a legend!

The 1966 is something that a lot of people rave about, and the secondary market goes nuts for. I personally have a box that i've smoke 3 of. I've smoked ones gifted to me. Did i like any of them? Nope. Again i have no idea why.

This example is a bit underfilled. Light it up and crack on. It opens quite terrible. Smoking with a guy who has a puff every now and then. His first words were "f@#$ing hell Mus! That's harsher than sandpaper on my ass cheeks". I have to agree with him. I'm sitting out here this morning because it rained last night and everything muddy, hence not much dust around. The wind is also blowing in the right direction to blow all the gasses away from the office. It's good to be able to breath!

Getting into it now and it coming into something. Not sure what exactly. It's a mix of wood, a bit of toasted bread, a hint of hupman sweet biscuit. All kind of muddled up. It is nice! Pairing with a milky coffee.

Second third and a bee was annoying me! I got up for a bit and walked away, come back and the bee is floating around in my coffee! Bastard! The cigar continues on in a pretty nice profile. Getting a little bit sweeter and more into the biscuit profile.Pretty nice! Working through the soft patch and it went out a few times, pinched it, smoking good again. Interesting how this one is the same flavour through the nose as it is on the tongue.

The last third was same same. Maybe lost some sweetness, but the biscuit/toasted bread character stayed on. Not bad at all. I think this cigar has not hit it's prime yet. I wont be touching the ones i have left for another 2 years a least. I think 4 years it'll hit its peak. Would i chase after a box at the current market prices? Nope.

Great review! I have 2 of these in my humidor right now. I thought about smoking one for this review comp but after reading this, I think I'll let them sit a few more years!

Thanks for the review.  I hope that a later report in the future will shed light on how it's now begun to come around for you!

Mus, you're the Bear Grylls of the cigar world! Killer bees! Smokes of sandpaper-on-asscheek harshness! Barely breathable toxic environments!

We demand weekly reviews! (not kidding)

Smoked a few of these on the veranda at the Nacional in late 2012.  Granted, it was hot and humid.  Not the best conditions to get the best results smoking a cigar.  I wasn't impressed with any of them, especially at around, as I recall, $16CUC (purchased from the LCDH at the Libre).  Your result with this cigar is why I don't spend much coin on Cohiba's.  Have a few boxes which I'm aging to five years before getting deep into them.  So far, samples of my 2013 boxes of various Cohiba vitola's haven't been stellar.  I'm hoping all the hype talk on here about them needing five years will bear fruit.  We'll see.

Thanks for the review, Mus.
