It's the new Davidoff store that's opening in Tampa, Fla. It's allegedly the largest one in the world. It is supposed to open this spring. If you expand the picture it looks like they are the Davidoff boxes with markings on them, just hard to see.

Sure will have to sell a lot of cigars to pay the rent there.................surprised.gifwhip.gif

I have to say, it looks kind of sterile. Missing some life/colour/richness imo.

Well the Davidoff room I visited in Littleton, NH of all places in the middle of nowhere, It's actually Rae's cigars I believe, anyway they carry almost exclusively Davidoff cigars, they were very snobbish, condescending, and snooty snoot, also had that sterile high end jewelry store feel.

Agreed 100%. I could never be comfortable in a room like that.

If it makes anyone feel better, I will hit that shop after a fishing trip to the sunshine skyway in St Pete. I'll make sure I have on boots, jeans and a t shirt and smell faintly of fish guts.

I'll let you know if I get kicked out

When I went to the Davidoff Store in NYC I had a similar experience.

A mid 20's looking guy in jeans and a T-Shirt often gets that response in a lot of cigar stores, I guess

The staff were friendly enough eventually but seemed surprised when I started enquiring about some of the higher end Padrons they had in stock instead of grabbing a handful of their sub $5 per stick lines (like they suggested)

They wont kick you out but you will probably have to tackle one of the staff to get them to help you

Also, they might not let you in their walk in humidor (if they have one) by yourself, at least, that's what happened to me

Ugh, that has got to be the most annoying ploy some of these shops pull. Duty free in PVG Shanghai is like that, they just hover over you constantly. Good thing their prices are rubbish, no need to repeat that experience.

I have NEVER been in any cigar shop worldwide that let me in the humidor by myself.

In my time in NYC Davidoff was the only store that wouldn't let me in the walk in by myself

Someone led me into the walk-in and stood there for the full 25 min I was browsing. I even kept my hands in my pockets the whole time

In every other shop I visited one of the sales staff would wander in after a couple of min to see if I needed a hand, but if I said I was just browsing they'd let me be

Yeah, in my experience 9 times out of 10 is that while there's generally an offer of assistance, if I decline I'm left alone to peruse.

I guess thongs are out (flip flops) ?

It's amazing how threads get a life of there own lol

Been 50/50 in my experience, like others I'll be browsing alone then somebody will come in and inquire if I need any help, others are basically up your ass the whole time. I usually don't let it bother me and my even pick there brain a bit, then just do what I usually do sniff and feel and inspect until I find what I want. I drives some of them crazy....

Way too sterile. I prefer the "catcher's mitt" look and feel of the Partagas Factory store anyday. That place drips history.
