William Larue Weller bourbon, 17 yr. Barrel proof release from the Buffalo Trace antique collection.

Spicy for a bourbon; it has rye-like notes although it has no rye in it. Very dark color, like an aged rum. With the high proof, it has a distinct burn, mellowed with a few drops of water. Very tasty, with some sweetness in the middle.

I would rank it highly in terms of bourbon, but I would put the George T. Stagg higher.
