El Presidente Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 You were cleaning out your garage on a Sunday afternoon and noticed an old dusty Cuban ceramic Jar. You dusted it off and blow and behold a Cigar Genie pops out ......mind you the cigar in my dreams always looks like Salma Hayek....but that is another story Salma Genie informs you that she is the ghost of Habanos past and given HSA has screwed everything up .....is offering you one wish. You can have a lifetime supply of one custom to your size and blend. You finish one and another appears immedately for the rest of your days. It will be perfect in every way. 1. What would you ask for size wize? If it is a figurado...detail it. Hell, sketch and post a pic if you wish. 2. What blend would you use. A mix of RASS and PL? Let us know. 3. What wrapper shade?
cigcars Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Pigtail tip perfecto shape; Por Larranaga/Bolivar/Quay D'Orsay blend; Rosado - reddish shade similar to the Hoyo de Monterrey DC wrapper. That'll do for me!
sblevit Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Here's what I'm thinking today (of course, tomorrow this could all change): 1. Corona Gorda with an extra inch on it -- 46RG x 6.5 inches. 2. A mix of Partagas D4 spice, Monty Especial No. 2 cocoa and the cake flavor in the JL Supreme RE Canada. 3. Oily maduro wrapper.
Colt45 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 First, if you're married, why would you be cleaning the garage? So difficult...... I fall in love with different cigars on a regular basis Size-wise: Dalia, churchill or something in between. Flavor-wise: A little bit of Hoyo, La Gloria, and Vegas Robaina - all in balance, integrated, full flavored, mid bodied. Colorado to colorado claro wrapper, smooth and silky. Make it happen.
riazp Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Easy, Classic Corona Gorda shaggy foot size with Hamlet's blend.
phoenix Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I'm easy. A perfectly constructed, medium bodied 5 year old Partagas 898 with silky smooth Colorado wrapper, perfect draw, making tons of spicy, aromatic smoke.
beamer Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Dalia-esque in size, with the buttery toasted wood from an HdM des Dieux with a drop of Bolivar spice and a bit of Partagas 898 earthiness to round out the blend. So I guess a slightly stronger des Dieux and a slightly milder 898? Different answer tomorrow, of course.
frenchkiwi Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 First, if you're married, why would you be cleaning the garage? don't tell me you let your wife into the Holy of Holies? i clutter up the doors so she's not tempted to walk in when i'm not around.
gersonmorelli Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 For me a dalia with an extra inch. Flavours would be a mix between aged fruit cake RA, creaminess of HdM des Dieux, caramel of aged PLPC and a slight citrus of LGC MdO 1. Call it dessert on a stick... Maybe a lighter wrapper would make more sense on these.
isa Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 A robusto or corona with medium full body. It should have evolution of flavours(full flavoured), like a toasty & spicy first third followed by a rich and decadent middle and a sweet , honey like last third
greenpimp Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Bolivar lancero with a touch of Cohiba bean. Strong with a smooth, rich finish.
hoyopr Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Just bring back the Punch RS 11, perhaps with an added 1/2 inch.
Ken Gargett Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 You were cleaning out your garage on a Sunday afternoon i'm just surprised you could find the garage. or did you need the car to run down another family pet?
Wicky Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 i'm just surprised you could find the garage. or did you need the car to run down another family pet? ouch
88keys Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 1. Romeo shape. This is a really great classic vitola. Unfortunately, the only one readily available is a Cuaba! 2. I like Beamer's idea. Blend Hoyo des Dieux with Partagas 898. Wow. 3. Colorado maduro or however you would describe a normal dark 898.
mk05 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I'm easy. A perfectly constructed, medium bodied 5 year old Partagas 898 with silky smooth Colorado wrapper, perfect draw, making tons of spicy, aromatic smoke. Hate to break it to ya, but that thing is not 5yrs old. As for myself: 1) Lonsdale 2) Defined 3rds changes w/ old Punch dark cherries, carrying to a Hamlet sweetness/caramel/nut, and building into old BBF bubblegum/citrus/graham cracker/cream 3) corojo . lol, whatever wrapper that makes this possible.
phoenix Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Hate to break it to ya, but that thing is not 5yrs old. Way to go, Sherlock! Although this particular specimen is in fact from ERO NOV 09, I wasn't trying to mislead you with the picture, but merely represent the image of my desert island cigar and the wrapper I prefer. So.... My apologies for not tagging my pic with: WARNING: This is not actually a 5 year old 898... just a representation of my "Genie Fantasy" dream cigar. PS: It was a Genie Fantasy.
CaptainQuintero Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Easy for me, a simple corona with the flavours of sweet milky coffee, cream and rich milk chocolate. No animal, no harshness and only a hint of spice coming in later on. So some kind of mix of Hoyo petit robusto, boli PC and monte especial #2 I guess
beamer Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 2. I like Beamer's idea. Blend Hoyo des Dieux with Partagas 898. Wow. Thanks!
