Well, mate Shagga loves his Harleys and it has been a dream of his to go to Sturgis and "immerse" himself in the Bike week culture. This year was the year and it was only a few months ago over breakfast that he confirmed his accomodation. He told me it was surprisingly easy, booked online and he had a great hotel room in the middle of town.

So bring on Sturgis South Dakota!

..........unfortunately Shagga booked in Sturgis..... Michigan :):D:rotfl:

Most of you guys know I like my Harley. Harley culture... well, that is another matter. It never ceases to amaze me... all those lone wolves, flocked together like sheep going to slaughter!!!!

Lets all be independent, together in a hugh group!!!! Lets all buy the same bike, the same clothes and otherwise look exactly alike as we defy society stereotypes! -LOL

Where do I go on Sundays? You got it... the local infamous biker hotspot; bottle of something wet in one hand and a fine Cuban cigar in the other.

Cheers, -Piggy

Piggy,

My favorite is seeing the straight pipe boys pull up for fuel and watch them take the earplugs out of their ears. :D Something very wrong in that.

Oh man.... If he is still going let me know. I will show him around have a few cigars with him. I may even have a Harley for him to ride. I can talk to my friends up at the dealer see if we can figure something out for him. There is always a bike run happening on the weekends, the big Sailboat race is going on that weekend I believe. Could ride the bikes up to Port Huron and check that out. God I feel sorry for him, what a let down. Although I have to be honest, I can't wait to go to the Harley dealer tomorrow and tell them about this guy from Down Under that booked his dream vacation for the Sturrgis bike week in Michigan.

That's as bad as the English couple that booked a flight to Sydney, Nova Scotia instead of Sydney, Australia!

Oh well. Knowing Shagga, I'm sure he'll find something to keep him occupied.

hey, the tasmanian state cricket team signed up a young star player from pakistan a few years back. they all fronted at the airport to meet him and make him welcome.

no show. nothing. they tried tracking him down but nada.

a few days later they got a collect call from a very confused young man who had been waiting for several days at the local airport in tanzania. true.

Those aren't earplugs. They're my IPOD earphones. :tantrum:

Actually I don't have straight pipes either.
