Colt45 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Just some brief tasting notes: Immediately opens with sweet spices and sandalwood. Rich, with a "creamy" smoothness which reminded me of of a cappuccino made with Italian coffee I had this past weekend. Some tinges of fruit. First half maintained these flavors. In the second half, a real earthy kick comes to the fore. Some hints of amaretto. The earthiness subudues some of the earlier smooth qualities (not in a bad way). I truly enjoy these cigars. My real lament with these is that some members may never be able to try them. I don't care if Habanos ever bring these back - I just hope someone does Chuck, Jack......
shrink Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 One of the greatest small-format cigars ever rolled. I love 'em.
aavkk Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Well said Ross. I'm very happy I've got a decent amount of these from early 06 they are real gems. I completely agree on the amaretto note and they are so damn consistently good.
dizedean Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Thanks for the review Colt. Brings back great memories. Had a box of these a while back. One of my favorites at a time when I was still finding out what I liked. I also lament the loss of a great smoke. Dean
Ken Gargett Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 had not realised they were 'gone'. what a shame. terrific smokes.
