  1. That's what I'm thinking. I've seen nothing but positive reviews, and like I said they look and smell great. I never have burn issues and the draw is always good. Im sure it's either me, or my individual box. I might get some singles if I have an opportunity so I can expand my sample size. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have a SEP 15 box that I bought blind. Cigars smell fantastic, construction is perfect and every time I light one I'm underwhelmed. I've been checking back every few months and I keep getting glimpses of what they can be, but they're not there yet. I'm not sure if it's a time issue or a quality one. 3. 24$ was for singles. Box was closer to 500$ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Just confirmed on a box of SW. Now the waiting begins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. SEP 15 Connie A. I've been trying these every few months, and it's still not there yet. I keep getting glimpses of what they can be but haven't had that come to Jesus moment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Spent the day building a deck with my future father in law. It's too bad he doesn't smoke because I would love to share one of these with him. I love these cigars Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I've noticed that when I put a box away in the wineador it goes "dormant" for a few months. The taste is bland, or harsh. After I get past that the flavor improves quite dramatically, and it continues to improve as time goes on. But if I put a few sticks in my desktop, the amount of time they need is not nearly as long. 8. Little bit of a Partagas bender. Had the E2 while I was building a deck, and the D4 to wind down afterwards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks. I have a "big ticket item" fund that I contribute to and a cab of Lusis was the next on my list. However when the SW entered the equation I had to reconsider. The source is golden and I know they have been well cared for. Clocking in at about 2hrs smoke time, a SW breaks down to 10$ an hour and I've certainly paid a lot more and gotten a lot less for my $$. Well it looks like I've talked myself into it. Thanks for the intel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I've got a lead on a box of Sir Winston. Not sure of the date, but the price is in the neighborhood of 500$. I'm not against dropping this kind of $$on a box, it's just that I have no point of reference on what one should cost. Are these 20$ sticks or should I just put that towards a cab of lusi? 11. I just smoked a magicos for the first time today. It was a game changer. Definitely worth the price of admission, and has shot up to the top of my buy now list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Reggie was impressed with the ash Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. This was my first from the maduro 5 line. I wanted a genios, however the LCDH I visited only had the magicos. Anyway, it's been camping out in my desktop humi for a while now and tonight I decided to give it a shot. I'm kicking myself for only picking up one. This is a fantastic cigar. Does anyone have a suggestion between this and the genios? I'm definitely picking up a box of one of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. And they last forever. (Not really, but a really long time) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I buy the 320 gram packs directly from boveda's website. They cost 18$ but are the equivalent of 5+ 60 gram packs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The Epi deluxe is a fantastic stick as well, definitely hits those cocoa notes, my only gripe is that it ends so quickly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. My initial reaction is the Mag 50. It's a 50RG and 6.5 in. I've got a box that sits in the bottom back corner of my wineador and is often overlooked, however every time I pull one out it's a winner. Also HDM Epicure Especial. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Here's what it comes down to. From an economic standpoint, you're paying more for +2 ring gauge and some fancy packaging. From an emotional standpoint, it's a new release from a well liked marca that historically has seen many more deletions than additions. Would I prefer it as a regular production in a $220 dress box? Yes (assuming it's any good) but that's not an option. So I guess I'll have to take it at a pricey, but not prohibitive 13.50$ a stick and decide if it's worth going deep on. 19. They had pre-orders that were to ship out mid March, and as of yesterday still had some available on their website, but not any more. With the current exchange rate it comes out to about 135 usd. They have a pretty good QC inspection at that shop, but I was still a little hesitant to be the tip of the spear. I have a feeling HSA is going to be making quite a few of these so I'll pull the trigger a little further down the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This was my AH-HA moment cigar that got me into CC's, and I've been chasing the dragon ever since. I don't smoke WCs too often, as I don't love the size, and I've seen the entire spectrum of construction quality but tonight's was definitely on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Was really wanting a RC all day for some reason. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if it was the best choice after an hour in the gym. Just about rocked me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I've got a box of May 15 #2. They're really starting to get good. I have to pace myself or I'd blast through them in a few weeks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. BBF SEP16. Still a little early for these. I've had them tucked away, but my lack of discipline got the best of me. Beautiful stick, and I was getting some good flavors out of it, but it was still very rough around the edges. I'll try back in 6-8 months and see what has changed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. That's a really good idea. Tubos would probably be the way to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. They keep growing, only after the first few years it's mostly just stacking on weight. Reggie is 6 years old and my sidekick. He follows me just about anywhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
