  1. So, funny story. When I watched it in the theatre I didn't know it was a remake of Infernal Affairs. So the whole time I'm like ... I feel like I've seen this movie before, but that's not possible. I was about halfway through when it became blatantly obvious it was a remake. I think it was really good, but I prefer Infernal Affairs tbh.
  2. Seconded. 1. Montecristo Open Eagle / Montecristo Double Edmundo. 2. LE ... Romeo y Julieta Anejados I'd say it was as if I was smoking CC leaf farts, but I feel like even those would have more flavor. They're like the white bread of cigars.
  3. Never affected sense of taste and smell but I've had lingering brain fog to varying degrees. It's been pretty frustrating.
  4. I heard Castro once placed 3rd in a Castro look-alike contest.
  5. Probably my top 3 regular production cigar. Cohiba Lancero edges it out but only because the CoLo is fuller. Monte Especial is 2 notches below a Fundy. I haven't noticed a body change. I have some 2014s and some 2019s and the core flavor profile is the same. Smoking time is between 2:25 and 2:50
  6. For NCs stems are actually a part of a lot of blends. But they shouldn't impact the draw.
  7. Gonna see him on Sunday night here, Will do my best to get in a cigar with him after the set 😁
  8. Cigars have been in the crosshairs for 8 or 9 years now. Hopefully based on the NASEM findings the industry will be able to show that the cigar industry does not need to be regulated in the same was as cigarettes.
  9. It was 8 or 9 out of 10. Back when spoof movies weren't lazy or poorly written but they actually worked in the script for laughs.
  10. The other one I find myself repeating quite often: Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
  11. Anyone have a link to the bracket site? Couldn't find it after 5 minutes of searching. Found it through my emails:
  12. Hanlon's Razor applies: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
  13. 8/10? In my opinion the hands down best album from Van Halen. Possibly the quintessential hair band album of the 1980s. Thinking back on it also maybe top 5 debut albums of any band ... ever?
  14. Deliberate placement of the ligero. I don't get it myself, I've had a number of NCs now where they place it more in the middle so the cigar starts out creamy and then moves up to pepper or intense spices which I think is a better strategy. 🤷‍♂️
  15. I believe just referred to as pig-tail cap or spiral pig-tail cap. No other fancy name that I'm aware of.
  16. This album was nominated for the best album of the 90s show for Cigar Jukebox and I had a lot of commentary being a long time Metallica fan. This album was both great for metal as a genre, and terrible for Metallica as a band. This album made radio play of metal possible and no doubt brought legions of new fans to Metallica that didn't exist before. But if you listen to Justice, and then you listen to the Black album, man these songs are just a shadow of what the band was. For the metal genre this was like a 9/10. For long time Metallica fans I think this was like a 2/10. My 1.55 cents. Also '89 Grammys. Never forget.
  17. We were just chatting about this last night while burning some Habanos. I think it's interesting that my stash of Cubans continue to increase in value and enjoyment over time, and yet my horde of NCs, many of them limited and hard to find, truly remain at the same level as current pricing despite many being at 10 years or over. Some stronger NCs can definitely mellow or harmonize to be more approachable after 9 months or more resting but I think ultimately if they're quite full bodied or very spicy, and that's not really your thing, they probably won't become that much better. Connecticut or lighter blended NCs can become quite soft when aged for too long and certainly will age out entirely. In general I've found smoking after a few months after purchase, especially for new releases, they'll be at peak smokability.
  18. I don't know how Enrique could be aging 1502's for 18 years since they only came out in 2014 🤣. I never fail to be amused by industry nonsense. Good shocker - Tatuaje Cohete Reserva. A 4 inch cigar that is packed with flavor and it's only 9 bucks. Honestly can't believe how balanced it was given the size. Bad shocker - The Davidoff Winston Churchill LE 2022. $34, resistant draw, average flavors. No excuse at that price point.
  19. I'm one of the contributors to the site. I think one of the plugin certificates has expired and it sets off a phishing alert. 🤷‍♂️
